Collaborative (Off-Campus) Degrees
For students who wish to study in a smaller group setting, one of our collaborative programs is ideal.
We offer a Middle Years program (grades 4-8 focus) in Red Deer, a Teacher Education North program in Grande Prairie, a Teaching in Rural Communities North program in Fort McMurray (last intake for the program will be September 2011), and a Teaching in Rural Communities South in Medicine Hat (last intake for the program will be September 2012).
Our collaborative programs offer students the opportunity to study in a focus area that is not available on the main University campus. Although collaborative students study on the campus of one of two different colleges in Alberta, they earn a University of Alberta degree. Collaborative degrees qualify students for teacher certification in Alberta. These degrees are offered as four-year degrees or after degrees.
Admission
Due to a limited number of spots, enrollment is competitive in all of our collaborative programs. For more information regarding admission to the collaborative programs read the Collaborative Degrees Information Package.
