Undergraduate Student Services (USS) August & September Advising and Support

Student Advisors continue to be available to meet with students on a walk-in basis on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, between the hours of 9:00 am and 2:30 pm, until Wednesday, August 16, 2017. At this time of year Student Advisors receive several hundred emails from students. As a result, it may take a minimum of 10 business days to respond to emails; however, it is possible that students questions can be answered by:

  •  Submitting an online service request form for a Student Advisor to complete services, such as a Registration Check or a Graduation Check. 
  • Visiting the Undergraduate Student Services office where a Student Services Assistant can assist students with general questions during office hours. 
A Student Advisor will also be available for walk-in advising appointments to meet with students in person on Tuesdays and Wednesdays up to and including August 16th, between the hours of 9:00 am and 2:30 pm.

The first day of Fall term classes is Tuesday, September 5, 2017.
Beginning on September 5th, USS would like to offer students several key services prior to the add/delete deadline of September 18, 2017 (for 13 week courses). These services will be processed within a maximum of 3 business days, in order to ensure processing can occur prior to the University add/delete deadline.
To assist students, these services include:
  • Request for a Registration Check
  • Request for a Graduation Check
  • Request for a Course Overload (Fall term only)
Please complete the online request form available from the USS Forms webpage to request the above services. 

For 13 week courses request forms must be received prior to 3:00 pm on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, in order to be processed prior to the add/drop deadline.  
Please be aware that condensed courses (normally IPT and APT courses) have non-standard deadlines that can be viewed on the Non-Standard Deadlines webpage. For all condensed courses (any course with a duration less than 13 weeks) service request forms must be received no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, September 1, 2017.
In order to keep up with the high volume of service requests submitted by students, Student Advisors will be unavailable to book appointments with students in September. However, in addition to our Student Services Assistants a Student Advisor will be on hand to provide students with in-person direction. 
Student Advisors will be available to meet with students on a walk-in basis again beginning on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, according to the following schedule: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 9:00 am – 2:30 pm. Note: Walk-in Student Advising is scheduled on a first come, first served basis.
